The site sets no cookies and loads no third-party fonts, trackers or advertising. Fonts are served from this site.

If you email contact@openengineering.uk, we use your address and message only to reply, and keep them for as long as the conversation needs. We do not share them. The web host keeps standard server logs (such as IP address and pages requested) for security and operation.

Visitor statistics, if added, will use a cookie-free service and this notice will name it first. A mailing list will follow after launch, and will be opt-in with its own notice. Release statistics shown here are fetched when the site is built, not from your browser.

The software (OpenDraft)

OpenDraft has no telemetry and no account, and it makes no network requests unless you allow it. Two features can reach the network, and both are off until you turn them on:

  • The update check. You choose whether OpenDraft may ask GitHub once a day which versions have been released. The request carries OpenDraft’s version number and, as any web request does, your internet address. No drawings or personal details are sent. Nothing is downloaded or installed; a newer version is announced and its page opens only when you click.
  • The in-app assistant (experimental). It needs your own Mistral API key. When you use it, your messages and the drawing information it needs are sent to Mistral’s service, under Mistral’s own terms. It does nothing until you add a key.

The optional MCP server for AI assistants runs locally over a socket that only your user account can reach, and listens on no network port. It is off by default.
